Fingers tangle, lact, and knot
     Getting lost in each other's palm
Tuck the misplaced hair behind their lover's ear,
     Writing love letters to each other,
            Leaving a simple message:
                        "Love is here to stay"

Hello,
     Is made in soft streaks of lead.
We're different you know.
     Your heart skips beats
            When you're dreaming.
Mine is too afraid of missing anything
     But it murmurs its musings on occasion.

Your heart is innocent.
     Like the front poch light left on for you,
It waits.
It wants you to come home.
     But step out of the light
            And let yourself fall into the dark.
Let your self fall into the arms of someone else.

My words are stuttering.
     Their courage is leaking,
            seeping through paper skin.
Words are wound healers,
     but poison resides in their veins.

Stone Cold Heart

Cold,

Jagged,

Harsh,

Me.

Worn down like the smokers lung,

Being chiped away from life.

Distorted like a crater

Rejected from space

and smashed down into earth’s terrain

leaving an empty hole

that once was filled.

How can you turn a warm, soft, alive human into a stone cold rock?

You deserve one thrown at you,

But not me,

You don’t deserve my rock thrown at you.

Keep your distance

Although I may move slow

I fall fast.

I’m unforgiving

Scarred

Weathered

Alone

Alone is where I’ll sit

Zoned out and blended with the dirt that you kick away with your shoes,

Rejected.

ones that whisper a good morning kiss

keeping my heart hungry for more

    only to slip away,

leaving a potential romance

    into a fantasy.
