Study regret.
Remember the broken mountain of determination that you tried to climb.
Instead of shunning it,
Embrace your failures.
Look back at them with laughter,
And dump the cylce of rage
that continuously makes it routine into your head.
Put it to sleep.
Don't let it take control of your destiny,
Because when the time comes,
You'll be able to capture the light bulb that will go off above your head,
The one giving you realization that it's okay to celebrate your mistakes
Rather then barreling the fear that you might repeat them again.

ReplyDeleteI really like your first two words: Study regret. I think a lot can be said/felt in just those two words. Overall, this whole poem is put together really nicely!
